Neptune Adelaide POP now live at NextDC A1
We're thrilled to announce that Neptune's Adelaide Point of Presence (POP) is now live at NextDC A1, marking another major milestone in our national network expansion. This new POP extends Neptune's footprint into South Australia — delivering faster, more resilient, and lower-latency connectivity for customers across the state.

Expanding Our National Footprint
The Adelaide POP joins Neptune's growing list of network locations:
- Melbourne (NextDC M1) – IP transit via Global Secure Layer, EdgeIX, VIC IX local peering
- Sydney (Equinix SY1) – IP transit via Global Secure Layer and NextHop, with EdgeIX peering
- Brisbane (NextDC B2) – IP transit via Global Secure Layer, EdgeIX, and QLD IX
- Perth (NextDC P2) – IP transit via Global Secure Layer, EdgeIX, and WA IX
- Adelaide (NextDC A1) – IP transit via Global Secure Layer and EdgeIX
Why This Matters
The addition of Adelaide strengthens Neptune's national backbone and brings content closer to end users in South Australia.
Customers can expect:
- Reduced latency and shorter routing paths for Adelaide-based services
- Improved network resiliency and fault tolerance
- Direct peering and transit relationships that keep traffic local and efficient
What's Next
Our team continues to refine routing policies and intercapital connectivity across all POPs to deliver the best possible performance nationwide. Adelaide is a key step toward a fully interconnected, low-latency network, and one that keeps Australian traffic local and delivers the performance our customers expect.
We'll be sharing a follow-up post soon with more detail on Neptune's national network design, including intercapital links, redundancy architecture, and future expansion plans.
