Neptune Fair Use Policy

- To host servers or switch/reroute traffic in a way not intended for your service type.
3. Excessive or Unreasonable Use
You must not use our services in a way that is excessive, unreasonable, or inconsistent with the usage patterns of a typical residential or business customer.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your service if your usage exceeds reasonable limits or places excessive demand on our network in a way that could impact other customers or compromise the stability and performance of our systems.
Examples include:
- Using a residential service for commercial purposes
- Frequent and sustained high-volume usage that degrades service quality for others;
We may contact you to discuss your usage or require you to move to a more suitable plan.
4. Spam and Unsolicited Communication
You must not use our services to:
- Send or assist in sending Spam (unsolicited commercial electronic messages), in breach of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth);
- Use or distribute software designed to harvest email addresses or impersonate others maliciously;
- Operate email services that allow open relay or misconfigured access.
5. Content and Copyright
You are responsible for any content you access, download, send, or distribute using our services. You must not:
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others;
- Make copyrighted materials available without proper authorisation;
- Access or distribute prohibited or offensive content, including illegal pornography or abusive materials;
- Provide unrestricted access to content unsuitable for minors.
We cooperate with law enforcement and may report any illegal activity or content and provide identifying information when required by law.
6. Security and Protection
You are responsible for protecting your service and equipment. This includes:
- Maintaining firewalls and antivirus software;
- Regularly updating software and applying security patches;
- Securing your home or business Wi-Fi network;
- Keeping your account credentials confidential;
- Monitoring who accesses your service and ensuring they also comply with this policy.
7. Breach of Policy
